This exciting 3 day Rwanda gorilla trekking safari takes you deep in Volcanoes National Park to visit the rare and critically endangered mountain gorillas and the beautiful golden monkeys. On this tour, you will explore the bamboo forests and spend 2-night lovely lodges in the park.

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

On arrival, you will be welcomed by our guide who will transfer you northwards to Volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri, a home to over 360 Mountain Gorillas and golden monkeys. Dinner and overnight at mountain Virunga lodge / La Palme Hotel / Le bamboo gorilla lodge / Gorilla view Hotel / Muhabura Hotel.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking

Very early in the morning, assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing together with your trekking gear and drinking water and packed lunch. Later proceed to the forest to track the gorillas, an activity that will take you 2-8 hours depending on the movement of these great apes in the mist. After meeting and staying in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of one hour, descend back to your hotel for relaxation. In the evening, you may go for a nature walk or visit the Banyarwanda community, dinner and overnight stay at your preferred lodge.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking

In the morning after a relaxed breakfast at 6.00am you will transfer back to Volcanoes National park to track the beautiful golden monkeys. Expect to encounter other primates such as baboons as well as forest birds, and butterflies. On return transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
