3 Days Wildlife Safari Rwanda, Akagera National Park Tour
This 3 days Rwanda wildlife safari starts and ends in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city. You will enjoy wildlife watching in Akagera National Park which is one the most interesting wildlife parks in Rwanda blessed with a variety of wildlife including the big games; the leopards, lions, elephant and cape buffalos. Other animals in the park include; antelopes, species of giraffe, bushbuck, hyena, zebra, hippos and crocodiles and these can clearly be seen along Akagera’s largest lake when you are on the boat cruise.
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Akagera National Park
On your arrival at Kanombe International Airport in Kigali, you will be met by a tour guide from Gorilla Expeditions Limited who will then drive you to the eastern part of the country to Akagera National Park along the Tanzanian border. Have a stopover at the genocide memorial center, built to memorialize the victimized people during the Rwandan war. You will reach Akagera National Park in the late afternoon for relaxation and lunch at the lodge as you wait for dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge / Ruzizi Tented Camp.
Day 2: Game Drive and Canoeing
On this day you will wake up early in the morning for a breakfast and transfer to the park to enjoy a game drive which will lead you to a swamp where there is a wide concentration of different wildlife which includes; lions, zebra, buffaloes, leopard, giraffe, Spotted Hyenas, antelopes, among others. After this memorable game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch then in the afternoon enjoy kayak ride on Lake Ihema where you will get a chance to see Nile crocodiles, hippos and a variety of bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at your lodge as on day one.
Day 3: Reserved for Departure
Enjoy morning breakfast at the lodge, and after that transfer back to Kigali take a last minute shopping and then continue to the Kigali International Airport to meet your departure flight back home.
