Evening of today, one of the 22 striking, beautiful girls, the final contenders for Miss Uganda Tourism Expo 2015 will wake away this year’s honor at the Serena Hotel Kampala.

The competition this year, the third event of Miss Tourism Uganda was organized under the theme, “praised our cultural diversity.”

As reported by the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, the tourism industry, chief coordinator of the event, the event aims to promote tourism and highlighting the rich cultural endowment of Uganda through the features of fashion, music, food and other cultural characteristics of the people and places in eleven uniquely different regions of the nation.

As stated by the press release issued by the ministry of tourism yesterday, the event will “make a platform for youth to develop character and personally develop in balance, confidence, communication stills, physical fitness, and self- discipline.”

The festival will also empower girls and to motivate youth in the tourism business using the Miss Tourism Brand.

The winners of the Miss Tourism Pageant will represent Uganda in the international Miss Tourism and Miss Heritage campaigns.

The search for Miss Tourism 2015 Uganda began in April this year with the mobilization of regions to take part. Eleven regions have expressed interest to participate in the pageant. These incorporate Kigezi, Ankole, Toro, Bunyoro, Buganda, Busoga, Mbale East, Teso, North, West Nile and Karamoja regions.

This activity was followed by activities and regional training and was concluded with the final selection of three representatives of tourism in each region involved.
The media unveiling of the Miss Tourism Pageant election was held August 12th, 2015 at J & M Hotel Bwebajja.

Thirty-three events from eleven regions participated in the activity and were forwarded to a practice of training camp and training in tourism, business and beauty competition.

On August 22, 2015, beauty queens were subjected to an elimination activity in which one member of each region was eliminated.

The 22 final candidates were trained and prepared for the big final event of today.
