Last year I was in Rwanda with my dad for Rwanda gorilla safari where we visited Volcanoes National Park. We opted a gorilla family that was a bit near and our “trek” was actually about a 30 minutes leisurely walk than a “trek”. Mountain gorillas tend to move around a lot so you never know. However, after the trek and talking to several other people who trekked the different gorilla families, I truly believed that anyone can do the trek.
There were trekkers of all ages and fitness levels and the ranger guides are exceptionally patient and does all that they can to ensure you have a memorable experience. The porters are incredibly useful and can help you over any type of landscape and up any mountain without even breaking a sweat and always with a smile on their face.
We agreed to visit Rwanda another time because it was something on my bucket list. We would like to return and enjoy this amazing experience.
After the gorilla safari in Rwanda, we connected to Uganda for wildlife safari. Visited Queen Elizabeth national park the Uganda’s most visited and love national park. My dad was so amazed with the tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector located close to the southwestern tip of the park. They rest comfortably in the fig trees. This really comes down to what you must want to see and do. For me the gorillas were a must. In Uganda, we truly wanted to concentrate on wildlife watching. Once you’ve contracted down the type of experience you want while you’re there, it may be easier to choose the country.
Choosing these two destinations, we first checked on the trip advisor and got valuable information that helped us a lot to organize out safari. Use chose to use Rwanda gorilla trek because it had a good reviews and really they arranged everything professionally I highly recommend them.
On returning, we choose to do self drive while visiting different parts in this wonderful country. This is because we have ever been in most the destinations; therefore we know the roads and the driving conditions most particularly in Rwanda and Uganda. It will be a memorable holiday and this time we are going to many in a group.
Africa is so stunning and gifted continent with a plentiful wildlife, vegetation, birds and some more. For anybody who have never been to Africa simply try it out, you will never regret because of variety of tourist attractions which can’t be found elsewhere in the world.
