Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park
After early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will meet the tour guide who will drive to Murchison Falls National Park in the northwestern part of Uganda. The journey will take you through the historical Luwero triangle where many people lost their lives during the liberation of Uganda against the dictatorial rule of the 1970s and early 1980s. You will have an en-route stop in Masindi town for lunch and from there continue with the journey to the national park through the Kichumbanyobo gate having a stop at the top of the falls where the water of the Nile makes its way through a narrow gorge making a thunderous sound pouring downstream in a pool 7metres down. We shall then proceed to the lodge for relaxation as we wait for dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge / Nile Safari Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge / Bwana Tembo Safari Lodge, Red Chilli Rest Camp / Sambiya River Lodge Bandas.
Day 2: Explore Murchison Falls National Park
On this day you will wake up early enough for a cup of tea/coffee and transfer to the park headquarters of Murchison Falls National Park for a short briefing before you enter the park for a morning game drive where you will get a chance to see different animals in the park for example; lions, leopards, giraffes, oribis, elephants, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda kobs, buffaloes among other animal and bird species. After you will return to the lodge for relaxation as you wait for lunch at the lodge. Then after lunch, transfer and enjoy a three hours boat cruise on the Nile River to the bottom of falls where you will have a chance to view animals like; crocodiles, hippos, in the water and some on the river banks, while; buffaloes, waterbucks, and elephants are often seen on the river bank grazing and drinking water. You will return to the lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge / Nile Safari Lodge / Pakuba Safari Lodge / Bwana Tembo Safari Lodge / Red Chilli Rest Camp / Sambiya River Lodge Bandas.
Day 3: Murchison falls – Kampala
After breakfast at the lodge, you will choose between taking a morning drive and transferring back to Kampala to enjoy a city tour before it gets too dark. In case you missed the opportunity to visit the top of falls on the first day, today is perfect for that and drive back to Kampala and then Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
