5 Days Wildlife Safari in Kidepo Valley National Park – Uganda
Kidepo Valley National Park is for really a different world with vast plains, inspiring views from every vantage point. With a lot of wildlife as you enjoy a game drive in the national park. Day 1: Kitgum – Driving from Kampala to Kitgum
In the morning after breakfast, you will be picked by your tour guide at your hotel or residence in Kampala and start safari to Uganda’s most isolated national stop and you will be driven through the plain and remote vegetation to northern part of the country, with an en route stop for lunch in Gulu, before continuing to Kitgum for overnight stay and dinner at any of the following hotels Fuglys, Bomah Hotel and Tembo Guest House.
Day 2: Kidepo Valley National Park – Game Drive.
After breakfast at the lodge, you will proceed with your journey the greatest and Africa’s finest wilderness through the remote towns of Acholi regions to the Karamonjo’s homesteads lastly into the valleys of Kidepo National Park the most lovely and third best national park in Africa ranked by CNN travel channel. You will reach the park at the time of lunch and after lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive into the vast plains of the Kidepo Valley National Park where you will be able to spot some of the parks tree climbing lions that may be sitting in “sausagetreess” along the Narus valley or on the rocks at the entrance of Apoka park headquarters, other wildlife that can be seen in the park incorporate elephants, leopards, bushbucks and among others. After the afternoon game drive you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge / Ngamoru Camp, and Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandas. For the campers, the park has got two campgrounds well facilities with water and clean toilets and you are provided with a ranger guide to protect you and make you stay in the park safely.
Day 3: Kidepo valley national park-Game drive to hot springs and nature walk.
Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge and carry some packed lunch before you go for a game drive to the hot springs through the palm trees lined Kidepo River, in search for different wildlife like; Ostriches and leopards, tortoises along the way. You will enjoy your packed lunch in the park and then stench your legs on guided nature walk through the national park and return to the lodge for refreshment, relax and have time to enjoy the wilderness night stay at your lodge or camp as on day two.
Day 4: Gulu – Transfer Kidepo valley national park to Gulu
On this day you will leave this wonderful park after your breakfast and transfer to Gulu with an en-route stop for lunch in Kitgum. After lunch, you will proceed with the journey to Gulu town where you will have dinner and overnight at Acholi Inn / Acholibar / Peal Afrique / Franklin Hotel.
Day 5: Kampala – Drive to Kampala from Gulu.
Have breakfast at your lodge and transfer back to Kampala with en-route stop for lunch at Kabalega dinners. Then after you will proceed to Kampala, drop off at your residence, Hotel or transfer to the Airport for your departure flight.
